Pilgrim School is proud to partner with Seeds Church Aberfoyle Park through our much-loved Grandbuddies program, which brings together children and older community members in meaningful and enriching ways.
During their visits to the school, Grandbuddies and students spend time playing games, participating in activities, reading books, and learning together. These shared experiences foster genuine friendships and create valuable opportunities for learning.

The impact of the program has been recognised through the Every Generation Onkaparinga Award, presented by the City of Onkaparinga. The award celebrates contributions to positive ageing and acknowledges initiatives that make a meaningful difference within the community.
Grandbuddies holds a special place in the life of our school, and this recognition is a wonderful reminder of the joy, understanding, and sense of belonging that can flourish when generations come together.
“My Grandbuddy was very nice, they made me feel cared for.” – Elouise (student)
“We love learning all the new games the Foundations have to teach us.” (Grandbuddy)
